Chances of Admission with my GMAT Score (670)

I just took the GMAT today and scored a 670 (Q 46 / V 36). While this score is better than my previous score, I am not sure what my next move should be. I am a 24 year old aerospace engineer who works for a Defense contractor... I have 3 years of work experience. I had an undergrad GPA of 3.4 at a top 10 engineering school.

I plan to apply to NYU, Columbia, McCombs (UT) and Berkeley. Although I'm not excited with my score, I feel it is good enough to warrant giving the admissions process a shot.

Thoughts?

Your hunch is right - it's not a great score, but good enough to at least go for the schools you listed. You'll have an uphill climb -- but you're still within the middle 80% (which is around 660-760 for the top schools pretty much across the board), so you're still in the safe (but not ideal) zone. Ideal would be 700+
