GMAT Target: 740
I want to target top 10 Schools particularly Harvard and Wharton. Can you advise what areas should I focus on ?
Also does getting a better GMAT score ~780 would make my chances better ?

It's not about the GMAT scores. A low one can keep you out, but a high one won't get you in.

For HBS and Wharton, it's all about leadership potential or interpersonal/team skills -- if you don't have substantive leadership oriented accomplishments, then your chances are slim to none.
