Reason for doing MBA:
change my present engineering mindset into a business mindset. Would like to market tea in america. Family business is going ahead with a tea manufacturing unit.

Don't know if I stand a chance in getting into one of those top 10 school.

At first you seem like a candidate who would have trouble differentiating, because – despite your particular hardships – you fit the Indian engineer mold fairly well. However, your work as an entrepreneur within your family business should enable you to set yourself apart. With a 700+ score, you could challenge for a top-10 school, depending on the quality of your experiences at your family firm.
