I know that on the SATs (9 years ago) that if you took it with extra time that your score was reported with an asterisk indicating the use of extra time. Does the GMAT report scores the same way?

If it does, I am wondering if adcoms look at extended time on the GMAT negatively. I know by law they are not allowed to, but I can't help thinking that it must enter their thinking when evaluating an application.

Is it better to try to take the test without extended time and do your best, so as not to have your GMAT score discounted in the admissions process.

I am fairly certain that they do NOT report this (nor does the SAT any more, I think) b/c I think someone sued them a while back, arguing that the practice was discriminatory and, under the ADA, shouldn't be allowed. And I think the person won the suit. But I have never applied for this myself, nor seen the score report of a person who has, so I don't know for sure.

FYI, if you haven't started the process yet (to apply for extended time), you may want to, just so you have it available in case you decide to use it. From what I understand from past students in the same situation, it takes a long time (on the order of months, not days or weeks).
