Hi, I'm doing some of the problem set exercises in the MGMAT Number properties strategy guide and finding that I understand most of the pricinpals shown but getting hung up on even more basic math.

Any tricks &/or reco's?

Thanks

For simplifying fractions, start with the smallest numbers you can tell will work (2, 3).

Alternatively, take each number and use the prime factor tree to break it down into its primes, then cross off the ones you have in common.
