This looks like a straight C, but I'm doubting this is this simple>

MGMT experts, I think you guys need to address this one. Thanks

Further the Market is singular so the verb should be "remains". So Choice A, B, D are out

So the answer is E

Yep.

If you realize that 'market' is the subject, then you've got it down to C and E already, because the other three choices all contain plural verb forms.

What's most wrong with E is the repetition of the word 'commodities' (which, in addition to being needlessly repeated, is used incorrectly the second time, making it seem like aluminum owns commodities). The sentence actually makes sense with or without the commas: 'such as' shows that we're talking about recycled commodities as a class, and not restricting ourselves to the likes of aluminum and other metals (thereby justifying the use of commas if the writer so desires).

C is the best, although it's still not the greatest writing in the world.

Hi Ron,

I got a bit confused with choice C...need some help

[Deleted see above]

In choice C .. it says recycled commodities such as Al , and other metals.... but these cant be examples of recycled commodities....
so is it correct to use such as here....

i opted for E...as i thought... the author is saying .... commodities of X,like the commodities of Y and Z ...

is my assumption correct...or it changes the original meaning
... please help....

Thanks in advance,

I am not sure if Commodities of Aluminium is the right way to represent. Also, here "such as" is used to cite the examples for recycled commodities which is correct in C . "Like" should be used only when similar things are compared.

Thanks
