Hi
Need some help in choosing US schools for my MBA.
I am a Marine engineer from a top college in Asia with a 2.6 CGPA.
4 years international experience in merchant navy as an engineer. Good career progress with 3 promotions. 1 year in non-profit (full time) as project manager. The non-profit deals with setting up renewable energy setups.
My GMAT is 760(Q50/V42/AWA 5.5)( 3rd attempt) . The progress is 600(oct 2010-660 April 2011-760(Sept 2011)
I have applied only to European schools till now since they prefer international exposure but also want to apply to at least 5 -7 good US schools. My areas of interest are marketing/strategy in energy industry since my non-profit was more about going green and clean tech. By the time i join i would have 2 years in the non-profit.

Though my score is decent but the thing that holds me back is my CGPA from my graduation.

Please suggest me some schools good in strategy.

Hi Mohit,

Thanks for writing and great work pulling that GMAT score up. While your GPA does concern me, you can point to your high GMAT and work experience as indicative of your "current" academic abilities. Alternative energy is certainly a growing niche among MBA applicants -- schools you may want to look at include MIT, UT-McCombs, Michigan and Chicago.
