Male / Indian/ 25 Yrs /Civil Engineer working in Planning and Co ordination of a National Highway in India / 26 months

Designation
July 2009 to July 2010 - Graduate Engineering Trainee
July 2010 to April 2011 - Engineer
July 2011 to date - Sr Engineer

BTech Civil (National Institute of Technology)

Xth - 89%
XII-80%
CGPI - 7.81/10

GMAT

740 (Q 49 / V 41)

Co Curricular-

Training and Placement Committee in college
Editor - Annual Magazine
School Prefect
Winner- City Open Badminton Championship
Distinction - Math Test conducted by University of New South Wales
Contracted Orator for All India Radio since 1992.

Major Weakness-

Gap year between School and College. 1 year pursued BSc Chemistry and 1 year Engineering Preparation.

Hi Sandeep,

Thanks for sharing that information. Your GMAT score is quite impressive, but I'm concerned that you're going to get classified with the large population of Indian males with engineer/IT backgrounds, and stand little chance of differentiation. You need to work hard to emphasize what you bring to the table that allows you to stick out from the rest of the applicant pool. While I don't see enough detail here to recommend top-10 schools, I think top-20 could be competitive.
