On a certain sightseeing tour, the ratio of women

On a certain sight seeing tour, the ratio of the women to the number of children was 5 to 2.
What was the number of men on the sight-seeing tour ?

A. On the sight-seeing tour, the ratio of the number of children to the number of men was 5 to 11
B. The number of women on the sight seeing tour was less than 30

Answer: C

I marked it as E. can someone please explain. thanks !!

W/C = 5/2

(1) M = 11C/5. this means C has to be a multiple of 5 (C = 5 M/11)

(2) W < 30

Combining both, W can be multiples of 5 upto 30, so it can be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25.

Also, since W/C = 5/2 or 10/4 or 15/6 or 20/8 or 25/10

So the only numbers that work for W and C are W = 25 and C = 10. Therefore, M = 11 (10)/5 = 22.
