New OGs for Quant and Verbal

Hi,

The 2nd edition of OG Verbal Review has been released, and very soon the OG Quantitative Review will have a 2nd edition too. I believe there are only a few changes in the Verbal book. Does this mean new editions of The 8 GMAT Strategy Guides will also be released? I am planning to buy the guides but am wondering if I should wait. Please Advice.

Hi there-

You're right, we do always update our guides when the new editions of the official guides come out. These updates, though, will be VERY minor. We'll just be changing the problem numbers in the back of the book to match up to the new supplements as opposed to the original supplements. Even then, though, the majority of the problems referenced in the guides come from the Official Guide for GMAT Review, as opposed to the Verbal or Quant review supplements.

So, in short, there's very little you would gain from waiting for the new guides (which should come out at some point in the fall). You're much better off getting your guides now and starting to study.
