Hi So I have now taken two practice exams. 7 days in between. And I got the same low score on both (490 Q31 V28). Should I just give up on my target of 610? Is it to much to increase 120p in 2 months?

Most people don't see much difference in score in one week - so, no, that isn't unexpected, and no, you should not just give up.

You should expect to spend more than 2 months however. Most people need 3 to 4 months (and sometimes longer) to increase 100+ points.

Hi Stacey, thank you for your input, I will definitely look at the link you sent me. ;) My problem though is the time. I have already spent almost a month studying, and I feel that I need to apply to the MBA program before their first application deadline which is February 1st. Thats why I feel I have 2 months. The good thing though is that I'm not working at the moment, which means I have a lot of available time to put towards studying. Would you still consider it to be too little time?

Do what you need to do! You have an advantage because you're not working right now, but I will also say that it's tough to cram for this test. It's not about just memorizing a bunch of things - it's really about learning how to reason and think in certain ways, which takes time.

Because you're looking at a tight timeframe (and presumably you also have to do applications still, too, right?), you may want to get some outside help in the form of a class. It's perfectly possible to study on your own, of course, but having access to a set syllabus and a teacher can help you to work more efficiently and effectively.

Yes I am taking the Manhattan GMAT 9 classes, and Im combining this with 8 hours of studying/day.

Also, don't study more than 2 hours at one sitting without a substantial break (MINIMUM 1 hour) in between study sessions. If you try to study 3, 4, 5, 8 hours straight, you will never remember most of what you're trying to learn. Your brain needs time to make good memories. :)
