Nope - the notebooks are spiral bound with plastic. No tearing pages out.
You can, however, move your keyboard out of the way once the essays are over and lay out two facing passages of the scrap paper horizontally. Then you've got lots of workspace to set up your grid and to work on the problems. |

Official policy is one at a time. You can certainly ask; they will probably say no, but doesn't hurt to ask!
