Topic: Dock more for missing Sentence Correction in Verbal?

Is it true that there is a hierarchy in GMAT verbal topics (SC, RC, CR) that dock more points off of your score than others?

For instance, I am finding that if I miss a SC or RC problem, I am docked down into a lower percentile pool than when I miss GMAT CR questions in Manhattan GMAT CAT tests?

For instance, if I miss a 700 level SC question, Manhattan analysis will show that I went from the 99th to the 88th percentile.

Likewise, if I miss a 700 level CR question, I went from 95 to 93rd percentile. I'm assuming these percentiles are only cumulative when the test ends (i.e. not cumulative of all previous questions I had answered), but I"m wondering why some percentiles in SC or RC drop down so much lower than CR, even though the difficulty level is the same.

Trying to figure out where the lowest hanging fruit in my Verbal strategy would be (i.e. study more SC and RC than CR)

Advice would be greatly appreciated!

the difficulty level is not necessarily the same. 700-800 is a pretty wide band. it also depends on what level you were at when you started the problem, which problem number it is, what the actual difficulty of the problem is, and how you've done cumulatively so far. you should consider all problems equally important..
