Does having your CPA license and being a CFA Level II Candidate negate a low undergrad GPA? Approx. GPA 2.8 from UC school. I'm hoping the "quant" skills will be illustrated in the CPA/CFA skill set. Shooting for schools in the range of the top 10 - 20 (not 1 - 10).

Hi bplotts,

These post-college designations can help demonstrate that you are capable of handling MBA-level quant courses despite your college GPA. You may want to write a short optional essay mentioning that you are aware your college GPA is low for these schools, but that you've proven you can handle advanced coursework through your CPA and CFA work.

Best of luck,
