It’s a company that looks towards the future, although it looks into it’s past.

A. although it looks into it’s past.
B. but it looks into its past.
C. even though looking into its past.
D. even as it looks into its past.
E. also looking into its past.

Can't understand the sentence. I picked C. But OA is D.
Please provide some explanation.
Thanks

As per the forum rules, we need a verifiable source for the problem before we can deal with this question. If the question is not one of ours or one that is copyright-free, we will have to delete the question..

C is wrong as highlighted part doesn't make sense.
"Even as" means at the same time

A company does two things at a same time- it looks towards the future and it looks into its past... So, I think D is correct. I hope I am making some sense.

yes, you do make sense.

it is from one of the online verbal tests that I happen to stumble upon. It's called: ProProfs.com
I am not sure how credible the source is.

I will prefer only MGMAT and OGs. Rest of the sources will confuse you.
