1) x>3/40
2) x is greater than 3 percent of 50

What is the answer? d or e

1. x>3/40 => x>0.075. Therefore x is surely > 0.05. So its either A or D
2. x>3/100*50 ie x>1.5. Again x should be surely > 0.05

So D. Unless I am missing something here.

yups i got the same ans with the exact same line of reasoning , calculation & values

IMO ans is 'D'

note that if all the ">" signs were reversed to "<", then the answer would become (e).
