If Z^n=1, what is the value of Z?

I found this Q on GMAT prep

If Z^n=1, what is the value of Z?

1. n is a non zero interger.

2. Z >0


from the first statement it is clear that if n is not equal to zero then Z=1 for satisfying the condition!!!

from the second statement if Z> 0 then n =0 which doesnt give one specific value
i,e Z=1,2,3,4,5,6 etc.

I chose A. Which is incorrect. Is there something wrong in my line of thinking . Have i missed out something ??

Well Z could be -1 and n could be any even integer. Then the result is 1. So from (1) we can say that Z is either 1 or -1. So the correct answer should be C. Whats the OA?

Unfortunately I dint note the OA down.

But ur point seems to make more sense. I forgot to take into consideration that Z=-1 ..Shiykes..

Seems that both the statements are required to obtain the answer.

I suppose it should be C
