Hello everyone,
I am new here and find this forum very helpfull. I just took a GMAT Test and got a miserable 420 with 34 percentile on Math and 16 on Verbal. I felt like I was too stupid where as i did a prior 1 month practice on the GMAT sofware and got a score of 670. I did not finished the verbal question and therefore I assume I have been penalized.
I would like to increase my score from 420 to 650, would it be possible? what should I do, and how long would it take me? .
I am non native english speaker, so I feel that I am more weakened in Verbal than in Quant.
Your help would be much much appreciated.

First, let's try to figure out why your score dropped so much from one test to another. You mention not finishing the verbal section. Can you give us more details? Did you leave questions blank? How many? Did you have to rush on a bunch of questions towards the end (answering blindly without real time to do them properly)? If so, how many?

Did anything similar happen in quant? Were you rushing at times because you were spending too much time on other Qs at other times?

Also, were both tests practice tests? Or real?

If you haven't taken an MGMAT test, I would recommend that you do so; we need the data on your strengths and weaknesses in order to advise you. Make sure to take the test under 100% official conditions, including essays and length of breaks (8 min each).

Finally, have you thought in general about how you want to study? On your own? With a friend? With a class or tutor?
