You would generally need a GMAT score on your application. Some schools would let you self report (put the total score and verbal/quant breakdown on your application, as you'll receive this information right after taking the exam), and then send along the official score report when it becomes available. However, this varies school by school, and you should speak directly to admissions counselors at your various target schools in order to be clear on their policies.
