Gmat score...retake?

I took the GMAT a second time and scored 610 both times.

Should I take a third time

1st time: V 80%-Q 56%
2nd time: V-52%-Q80%

As you see I got the same score but the individual breakdowns were the opposite.
Will top schools average both or should I take again and go for the 80-80

I think the mental fatigue got me on both exams

any suggestions on mental fatigue

I have not taken the GMAT yet (2 weeks), but my CAT score mirror yours. It also seems when I gain ground on the quant section, my verbal is scarificed???

I have wondered why?

Thank you for your inquiry.

I would definitely recommend taking it again. Because of the adaptive nature of the exam, it is very difficult to “fluke” into a high score. Your individual scores probably show your potential, so it would be wise to take it again with the hope of doing well on both sides of the test simultaneously. There is no harm in taking the test a third time from an admissions perspective and you clearly have the potential to improve.

I am submitting my Resume along with materials to complete my applications -Top 15 schools. But, I have a question regarding how to present a past promotion--here is the story:

5 years ago, I worked for a small real estate investment company and the last 4 weeks of my tenure, I was asked to be a team leader of risk analysis of our portfolio by our RVP. During this time our RVP was battling cancer and passed away before the paperwork was finalized, however, I was "playing the role" for 2 months prior to his death. After he passed away our offices consolidated and I took a job else where, where I worked for the last five years.
Now, I am tempted to type "team leader" on my resume, but unsure if I should? If it would be unethical, even though I did run our risk assessment team for those last 2 months. Do adcomms do background checks of titles of previous jobs? Thanks.

I took the the exams 6 weeks apart. I'll go ahead and take it again and hopefully can, at the minimum, get the 80-80 split

Any advice on how to avoid mental fatigue?

I took the GMAT one year ago, scoring a 710 overall with Q55%, V98%. I applied to top 5 schools, with waitlists at best resulting. Feedback I received focused on my low GMAT quant score. Other areas of application were strong.

I am applying first round / binding round to a broader range of schools this year - some top 5 schools such as Tuck, Kellogg; some top 15 schools such as Yale, Haas, Univ. of Chicago. How seriously do I need to consider raising my quant score? I believe I can raise it between 60 - 70%. Higher is doubtful.

My only goal this year is to get in - I would be happy at any of the schools named above.
