Hello everyone,

I'm actually retaking the GMAT since I bombed it this past Saturday. 510...35Q and 25V. Obviously I studied wrong for about a month and a half. I had an online course and the OG guide but I really didnt use the OG guide as much as I should have and used the course and the practice problems and quizzes from the course and I felt great. I took the two practice exams and had a 510 on one and a 550 the week before the exam and that is when I knew I was in trouble. I was shocked to see my verbal so low actually since English is my native language. What advice would you guys have for me on this second time around..I need to clear 600 and ideally if I can get to the 650 range would be ideal. I have the OG 12 guide and I am for sure giong through everything in that book this time but also I have ordered the Manhattan Verbal foundations book and also the number properties and word translations from Manhattan as well and they arrived today. Any study plan or words of advice to increase my score? I know that I can get higher than this this next time around. What materials should I use to study to give me an accurate assessment this second time around?

Good questions! Luckily I just wrote an article about this:

http://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... -the-gmat/

Biggest takeaways: don't set a timeframe for the re-take right away. Dig into your studies and see what this is going to take.

After you've read that article, come back here to ask additional questions. Re: your question about materials, in addition to OG, you need whatever materials will cover your weaknesses. Not sure what those are? Read that article above to learn how to figure them out. :)
