Post subject: gmat range: overall range vs quant/verbal range
Post Posted: Sat Nov 01, 2008 12:06 pm
So I understand that one should be in the 80% range of the targeted school's gmat range to be competitive. Is that for the overall score or for a subject-specific score? where can I find the score range for quant and verbal?

Top schools ideally want to see an "80/80 split" which means 80%+ quant, 80%+ verbal. Note this is a rule of thumb, not a hard threshold. You should be able to find the score ranges on the GMAC website.
