In the xy-plane, at what two points does the graph of y=(x+a)(x+b)?

1) A+B=1
2) Intersects y-axis at (0,-6)

Answer is C.

I was confused as to what they were asking. Now when I look at it I see that with statement two you can determine what a and b are. Could someone further clarify?
