Hi

I wrote my GMAT in Sep 2009 and scored a 660(Q:48, V:31 AWA:4.5).

Average School grades and average college grades.

Excellent extra curricular throughout...

Indian IT Male, 4 years experience:
Changed 4 IT companies in these 4 years. Earned coveted awards and recognitions from each company that I worked for.

International work ex: Short term travel to Europe

Others:
>Cover page magazine author for renown European Tech magazine.
>Speaker at a few international technical conferences held in India
>Salary higher than an Avg Indian IT Male with 4 yrs experience

>Also contribute to family business on weekends

> Not sure if would be able to write the GMAT again as am married and have a year old kid + plus few other high priority responsibilities

Would be applying next year when I already possess 5 yrs experience at the time of applying.

How do rate my chances of getting into:
RSM, Netherlands
ISB, India
HKUST, Hong Kong

Would request you to suggest few other colleges(Asia + Europe) that are worth giving a shot in lieu of my profile

Hi Karan,

Thanks for writing in. I must plead ignorance that I am not intimately familiar with the programs you listed and don't want to give you misguided advice. First, you can easily find out where you stack up in terms of GMAT and work experience by going to these school's web site and looking at the most recent class profiles. On a more general level, to assess your competitiveness I advise you to dig further into your work experience. For example, what leadership have you shown in the job? What evidence is there that you are on an upward career path? These things are more important in admissions than salary. I would also want to know more about your family business involvement, as that could provide an interesting take on other things that define you.
