Thanks, in advance, for your thoughts!

A bit about my candidacy:

1) Male, Indian, 30
2) GMAT 650 (66th percentile Math/ 79th percentile Verbal)
3) Undergrad Double Major in Computer Science/ International Studies and Double Minor in History and Theater from DePaul University, Chicago- 3.15 GPA
3) 6 Years of Work Experience:

a) Project Management Team Lead -3 Years with AT&T, Chicago. High visibility, fast track work profile with 4 Promotions in 3 years. Youngest Team Lead in the Program.

b) Transitioned to film producing (a creatively fullfilling evolutionary career move post Project Management) at UTV Motion Pictures (now Disney, India) and produced 5 feature films including country's official selection for the 2009 Academy Awards

4) Strong extra cirriculars including the design and implementation of a renewable energy (wind + Solar) micro powerplant for a rural village school

5) Application weakness are a weak Quantitative score on the GMAT. I doubt I can improve significantly from here

6) Looking at a top 10 school in the US with Oxford (Said) as a UK option

Hi! It sounds like you have some interesting work experience that will help differentiate you from other MBA applicants. I encourage you to look for ways to showcase your leadership roles through your work experience and outside activities. Your big hurdle will be your GMAT score, which is below the range found at many of the top schools. Since your quantitative score is below the 80th percentile that many top schools want, you might want to consider writing an optional essay where you can tell the AdCom more about your quantitative strengths, through your education or work experience.

Best of luck,
Rachel Beck
