GMAT 370-470

So here I go..

I took two CATS and i scored 370 the first time and 470 the second time.surprisingly verbal i scored 35 and quants just 17.
I'm an engineering student but out of touch with studies for 5 years :(.

I used to score in the 90's and was my school first in maths ! .Such is my state now .
Can someone throw light what could be possibly be wrong and i have another 5 weeks for GMAT and tough aim 720+ :)

any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest you study like crazy. Learn and do as many problems as you can and understand why you are getting answers wrong. Is it because of lack of knowledge, careless error etc...review explanations provided in the book.

Hey,

Don't get too down on yourself. Your situation is actually fairly common. It sounds like it's been a while since you've taken a math class so you've probably forgotten some fundamental math skills that the GMAT tests on. Without a strong foundation in math, you'll have a hard time getting ahead in GMAT quant. I suggest that you start with our Foundations of Math Strategy Supplement to refresh yourself on the basics and then move on to our Strategy Guides.
