Question: The value of (38+(17/15))/(21/97) can be doubled by doubling the number? a) 15 b) 17 c) 21 d) 38 e) 97
The answer sheet said e) 97 is the answer. But I don't know why it is the answer. Please help me. Thank you!

The given question is as
(38+17/15) 97(38+17/15) ----------- => ------------- 12/97 12
So the above value can be double either when 97 is doubled or 12 is halved because doubling the numerator (97) in this case doubles the fraction.
hence the answer is E.

Actually, geeknick, we’re not going to answer that question in this thread. You need to start a new thread for a new problem, and be sure to cite the source of the problem, AND tell us what you tried and why the solution you encountered didn’t help..
