Hi Stacey,

So I took the GMAT for the third time and scored a 530. The frustrating thing for me is that I scored a 700 on an 800score prac. test., 660 (no essays) on the MGMAT test, and 640 on an MGMAT test.

My question is I think I read an article of yours on anxiety, and you said that you once had a student who did really bad and you mentioned that she got X questions correct. Does the MBA.com give that type of information out? Im fedup and I don't think I will do it again, but I got a 29 on Quant, and I want to know why.
Thanks.

I'm sorry you're struggling with the test. No, GMAC does not release any test data beyond the score.

I can tell you, though, that the student in question likely answered about 60% of the questions correctly... because that's about what everyone answers correctly, except at the very highest and lowest scoring levels. The score is not calculated based upon percentage correct - everyone's about the same on that measurement.

If that 29 on quant represents a big drop from your practice test scores, you can try reading this article to see whether it helps you figure out what might have gone wrong:

If you want to come back here and tell us what you discovered, please do. It sounds like at this point you just want to know for yourself, and you also sound pretty burned out. So do try now to figure out what happened, but also take some time just to forget about this test for a while. Then, if you do want to come back to it in the future, you'll have an idea of what might've gone wrong and you can use that as your starting point.
