Error? Pg 195 problem 6 Of Word Translations Guide (4.5)

On page 195 problem 6. The problem states clearly that "If the number on the ball is even, the player loses the game and receives no points;"

However in the solutions section it ignores this line and assumes that the second and subsequent draws are even.

On page 199 the solution thinks its ok to have numbers like :
odd, even , odd

or

odd, even, even, even... (1,2,2,2,2)

Is one misunderstanding the question ? Or is this an error?

It is correct.

If you read the question further, it states "on subsequent turn, the player loses if the total of all the numbers drawn becomes even".

Since you already drew an odd number in the first turn, all the remaining draws should be even numbers.

The question is a bit wordy, it could have states that "the total of the draws should always be odd for the player to remain in game". This is exactly what the question communicates in two sentences.
