ERROR in MGMAT Number Properties?

Hey guys,

I think there is a mistake in the solution part of Chapter 11 (Page 155) of the Number Properties 4th edition of MGMAT?

Question #1, table 1, if we pay attention to Scenario 3 it states p = even, q = odd, r = even...pq+r = E x O + O = O.

In fact, pq + r should be E x O + E = E. I think there is a mistake. Could someone verify?

HI. For mistakes, check on the site Manhattangmat.com just by entering the word "errata'' in the "search" box. All mistakes will appear by themes & guides. Then you will be able to see whether your doubts are confirmed.
