Email notification don't work

I don't know if it's me or a general problem, but when I tick "Notify me when a reply is posted", I actually don't receive any email notifications.

Is there some other option that I should set as well?

I've received a test email from the forum's administrator. Does it mean that email notifications will work from now on?
