I'm looking into pursuing an MBA to move from the education field (worked as an English teacher overseas in Japan) to the Supply Chain/Logistics field (want to work in Technology/Manufacturing in Asia). I'm also semi-fluent in Japanese.
Are there any transferable skills that I could talk about in my essays?
My undergrad was in international area studies. I'm wanting to change industries and function.
How would you approach this if you were in my postion?
I'd appreciate any help!

Post subject: Re: Education to Supply Chain/Logistics. Please Help!
I am an admissions consultant and I can help you think through this. I am sure there are transferable skills that you can talk about, but the more important reason, or perhpas the link to help you find those transferable skills is in the why you want to do Supply Chain/Logistics.
So why are you interested in ths? This will help point out those things that you have experienced in your current position (or experiences because it could be extrucurriculars from which you can draw skills), that have lead you to want to do Supply Chain/Logistics, and in those things are likley the transferable skills.
let me know if you would like to speak further.
Lisa
