Earplugs

Do test centers allow the use of personal ear plugs? I have heard that for some standardized tests (e.g. the medical boards) test takers have the option of using headphones that are provided by the test center but cannot use their own earplugs.

Manhattan Midtown test center has their own ear plugs that you can ask for. They don't offer them though so make sure you remember to ask ( not easy given mot people are pretty stressed out going in). Not sure if you can bring your own, but given security and all my guess is no.
