If x and y are greater than 0, is x=1?
1- x/y=1
2- xy=1

I thought B was enough but apparently the answer is C !?
Can someone help on this one?
Thanks

Statement 2 is in no way sufficient. It states that xy = 1, take the case when x = 5 , y = 1/5, we have xy = 1

I think you erred here as you made the wrong assumption that x and y are integers and hence deduced that the only way x*y could equal 1 was if both x and y are equal to 1.

Yes, I believe that stud.jatt is correct. Beware of assuming that x and y are integers; they only must be greater than 0. Let us know if you need more help.
