Hi,

In the "comparison strategy" chapter, it is mentioned that one needs to keep the comparisons parallel .

My question is related to an example provided in the chapter.

I like to run through forests more than I enjoy walking through crowds.

I understand the correction applied to the incorrect sentence.

However , I understand that parallelism does not mean parallel word to word . We just need to maintain the structure /construction parallel

So , can the above incorrect sentence be corrected as
I like running through forests more than I enjoy walking through crowds.

Is the following considered parallel?
I like running through forests more than I enjoy walking on the ship's deck
verb + noun/gerund+preposition+noun - structure seems parallel

Yes this is correct. The parallel words are : I like running/ I enjoy walking.
