The correct answer is B and I think it because it uses just the statements 1) and 2):

If none of the computer programmers in Delphi Corporation is internet savvy (2), and because all computer programmers who specialize in VC++ are internet savvy (1), then none of the computer programmers in Delphi Corporation specializes in VC++.

But this might be wrong, because statement (1) never says that all the computer programmers who are internet savvy specialice in VC++. It just states this in the other direction.

That is why I think it might be D) the correct answer:

If Carol specializes in VB, then Brian has had (previously) specialiced in VC++ (3), and if Brian specialices in VC++ he must be an internet savvy (1). Since none of the computer programmers in Delphi Corporation is internet savvy (2), then Brian cannot be in the Delphi corporation... and this confirm D)

this is the CAUSATION case
VC++ leads to internet savvy NOT internet savvy leads to VC++

Assuming B is INCORRECT, if there IS a VC++ person at the company, then there has to be someone that is internet savvy.

FOr Answer D, it assume that IF Brian specialize in VC++, then Carol is in VB, not the other way around. Carol can be in VB, and Brian can be in VB also.

First, just FYI, the real test doesn't much use this type of question anymore. It can show up very occasionally, but it's pretty rare nowadays.

For if / then statements, you need to know this.
If given: If A, then B
The only other thing you can say is always true (besides If A, then B) is: if not B, then not A. That's IT - any other combo (eg, If B, then A, if not A then not B, etc.) is not 100% always valid. Note that these if-then statements are uni-directional. I cannot just reverse them and say If B, then A.

1) All VC++ programmers = net savvy
2) Delphi programmers are NOT net savvy, nor do they specialize in VB
3) If B specializes in VC++, then C specializes in VB.

1 says if you are a VC++ programmer (A) then you are net savvy (B). Therefore if you are not net savvy (not B), then you are not a VC++ programmer (not A).
2 says that if you are a Delphi programmer, you are not net savvy nor do you specialize in VB. Therefore if you are net savvy or you do specialize in VB, then you are not a Delphi programmer.
From 3, I can conclude that if C doesn't specialize in VB, then B doesn't specialize in VC++.

That's all I can say for certain.

D: If Carol does specialize in VB - look above at what we know. I can't conclude anything from statement 3 about Brian if Carol does specialize in VB (that would be the if B, then A statement, and remember that is NOT a valid conclusion I can draw). I can conclude that Carol doesn't work for Delphi, from statement 2, but I know nothing about Brian here. Statement 1 says nothing about either Carol or VB, so that's not helpful.

B: If I'm a Delphi programmer, I'm not net savvy (statement 2). If I'm not net savvy, I'm not a VC++ programmer (statement 1).
