In January of last year, Fastfood King started using a new lowfat oil to cook its Fast Fries, instead of the less healthful corn oil that it had been using. Now Fastfood King is planning to switch back, saying that the change has hurt sales of Fast Fries. However, this claim is incorrect, since according to Fastfood King’s own sales figures, Fastfood King sold 10 percent more Fast Fries last year than in the previous year.

Which of the following, if true, most strongly supports the argument against Fastfood King's claim?

Total sales of all foods at Fastfood King’s locations increased by less than 10 percent last year.

Fastfood King enjoys higher profit margins on its Soft Drinks than it does on Fast Fries.

Fastfood King’s customers prefer the taste of Fast Fries cooked in corn oil to Fast Fries cooked in lowfat oil.

The number of customers that visited Fastfood King locations was more than 20 percent higher last year than the year before.

The year before last, Fastfood King experienced a 20 percent increase in Fast Fries sales over the previous year.

I don't think I understand what the question is asking here...the answer is very weird & not justified properly in the Explanation.

According to me the question is asking to cite a weaken answer(in short).

Ok, this is a double negative leading postive qs.
The Fast food 's claim : The change is damaging .
The critic's(argument against Fastfood King's) claim
: Fast food's claim is not true - >
that means change is not damaging

[Fast food sold 10% more fast fries last year than previous year]

A) this growth in sale of fast fries is higher than the growth of all other sales in FAST Fodd . Critics cliam is supported . The correct ans.
B) Irrelevent
C)Somewhat relevent but weaken the critic's claim
D)IRRELENT
E)WEAKEN CRITIC'S CLAIM

I feel the question stem says we need go against the Fastfood King's claim. So the answer option should be something that is telling that change to low fat oil is actually helping the fastfood king. I am not able to find any answer option that is supporting this? Am i wrong in understanding the question stem? Please help!

We really need the original source for this question; unfortunately we're at the point of having to delete this thread if we don't obtain it soon. Thanks!
