I'm no expert but I read in a book that admissions usually look for growth so if you did better your last 2 yrs it'll be in your benefit. Also your work experience and how your progressed in your career is factor that will show change as well.

Upward trend is good, although yes your GPA will be an issue. Unless you have a time machine, there's nothing you can do about it except to nail the GMAT (you really need 700+ to tread water), and focus on putting together a strong application (i.e. don't suck on the essays or interviews). Beyond that, there's no point in fretting about your GPA. It's in the past.
