when modifying "details", we use "fewest" or "least"?

look, i googled both the two phrases "fewest details, least details" and the latter one exists....

it seems that it is an easy one cuz "details" is a plural word but i wonder whether there would be an exception?

and another question.
Is the phrase "both..and.." used when modifying verbs?

such as "he both cooks and washes dishes everyday" . is that right?

Your use of "both x and y" is acceptable. as long as x and y are the same type of thing (in this case, verbs), you are good. As for your other question, you have to remember that the GMAT makes its own decisions on grammar rules, and just because you see a different way of expressing something somewhere else does not mean it is correct according to the GMAT. According to the GMAT, "fewest details" is correct..
