Commercialism has become too widespread.Government has a responsibility to curb commercialism

This issue has two parts can we agree with first part and disagree with second or vice/versa or we have to agree/disagree with both parts. Please Clarify

Do we have to take a position on an issue can't we be 50% and 50% on some issues

Consider an issue
Schools should stress unity instead of diversity

can't we stress both sides are neccesary

I'm sorry it has taken us so long to answer your post.

You can take any position you want, but I do want to caution you against taking the position that you really feel is true. EVERY topic they give could reasonably result in a "50/50" essay, but it's MUCH easier to write an essay if you take just one side. Your goal is NOT to tell them what you "really think" - your goal is to get a decent score while using the minimum brain power necessary. If you say "well this is true sometimes, but then that's true other times" you now have to come up with examples to support BOTH sides and, further, you have to explain when it's true one way and when it's true the other way! Too much work. :)
