Analysis of an Issue question

Am i allowed to take a neutral stance on the issue question? I mean if i were to provide support for both sides of an issue and finally conclude on a neutral note rather than favoring one side, would that be ok?

On a neutral note, no - they do want you to give an opinion. You *could* say "under these circumstances, things should go this way / be this way, while under these other circumstances, my stance would be on the other side..."

BUT you really don't want to. Why? Because you just made your life harder. You want your life to be easy. You don't care that much about the essays - you want to get the best score you can with minimum effort. And it's a LOT easier to just pick a side and give a few examples. :)
