Hi ,

This might be strange but I am not happy with my gprep experience . I installed the s/w from the CD and saw a lot of known questions . Not sure How do I interpret the Score of 720 ( Q49 V38 ).

I have been following RON very sincerely . I did all the Videos available on Thursdays with Ron . In fact , I went through all CR , all RC and most Quant videos 2 days before my first Gprep ( this has improved me to a great extent ). For verbal , I had also revised OG11 , OG12 and Verbal review 2nd edition before Gprep test1.

As a result , I saw a lot of known questions :
Quant: Overall , I was aware of 6 questions .
Verbal: Overall , I was aware of 15 questions .
I Lost the tempo while giving the verbal section ,since I saw so many known questions. Sad :(.

I had read Stacey saying , if you come across a known question make sure you spend the time you would have taken to solve . I made sure I spent 2 mins on almost all known questions.

In Quant , I believe I could have got 3 of the known 6 correct anyways . I had got those right the first time also . Out of the remaining 3 , I definitely got an edge on 2 and I got 1 wrong.

In verbal , I had done 2 RCs already . One RC was from Thurs with Ron and the other from OG 11 itself . I saw some SC from Verbal review and 1 CR from OG11 and 2 CR from Verbal review.
I had 5 mins spare when I finished my verbal section.

I had a very nice experience in my MGMAT CATS . None of the questions were known . I have given 3 MGMAT CATS so far and have scored 680 740 and 730 respectively .

But a 720 on Gprep after these known questions has left me totally confused . Please Advise as to how Do i interpret this.
I am about 3 weeks away from my Gmat - Nov 15.

Also , let me know if I should download a fresh s/w from mba.com and do a reinstall and then give my test 2 . I am planning to give Gprep 3-4 times .

It sounds like you have seen a lot of GMATPrep questions already - and, unfortunately, that means you will almost certainly continue to see known questions if you continue to use that software. Re-downloading the software won't help; they haven't changed the question mix in a while and aren't planning to again until March or April of next year. :(

So that leaves you using MGMAT or other CATs rather than GMATPrep. One thing you can do - stop studying GMATPrep Qs and then in a few weeks or a month you can try another one to see. That does mean, though, that you'll have to avoid a lot of Ron's stuff and my stuff, since we're allowed to publicly teach GMATPrep Qs but not OG Qs. :(

Oh, wait - and I just saw your title that you're 3 weeks away. Okay, just forget about GMATPrep. You may want to do GMAT Focus a couple of times (http://www.gmatfocus.com) just to make sure that you're okay on official quant Qs. GMAT Focus is a mini-quant diagnostic of 24 official questions. It's adaptive and it doesn't overlap with OG or GMATPrep. There isn't a verbal version, unfortunately.

Have you been taking your practice tests under 100% official conditions, including essays, length of breaks, etc? If so, then you look like you're in pretty good shape overall!

Here are a couple of articles for your last 2 weeks:
