can any one tell me why in option d was is used with none of the pragnancies. i think it should be were to make the option right.

Think of "none" as "not one" in this case. Since "not one" is singular singular verb "was" is appropriate.

It is my impression that in GMAT "none' is used in singular context more often than not.
